Beach House just dropped "Dusky," the first single from their upcoming record, and it's a stunner.
The Baltimore duo have always known how to build a haze. You heard it on Teen Dream back in 2010, you felt it all over Depression Cherry, and this new track slots right into that lineage. "Dusky" moves slow and patient. Victoria Legrand's vocals float over those signature washed-out synths, and the whole thing swells into a moment that rewards your attention.
What makes it land is the restraint. There's no rush here, just Alex Scally's guitar lines weaving through the fog like they did on deep cuts like "Walk in the Park." It feels familiar and fresh at once.
After the sprawl of 2022's Once Twice Melody, a focused single like this is a welcome gift. The band sound locked in, confident, ready for whatever comes next.
Press play. Let it wash over you. This one's a quiet giant that grows with every listen.
