Bicep are back with a new album. It's called SLUG, and the Belfast duo have already dropped three tracks to set the table.
If you've followed Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar since their 2017 self-titled debut, you know the drill. These two build euphoria from patience, from those slow-burn builds that detonated on "Glue," still one of the great dance moments of the last decade. Their 2021 record Isles pushed the emotional dial even higher, all widescreen synths and that signature melancholy pulse.
SLUG feels like the next chapter. The three tracks they've shared lean into their knack for textures that ache and lift at the same time, the kind of sound that owns a festival tent at midnight and still works on headphones at dawn.
Bicep have always understood that a club belter can also be a gut-punch. That tension is their whole thing.
Three tracks in, this one already sounds like a stunner. Turn it up loud.
