Blue Bendy are back. The UK six-piece just announced their second album, One Day This Will All Be Lore, and dropped a grandiose lead single called "Dragonslayer" to mark the moment.
It's been a couple years since So Medieval, their 2024 debut, landed with that off-kilter art-rock sprawl and tracks like "Cloudy" that refused to sit still. This band never plays it safe. That's the whole appeal.
"Dragonslayer" leans into the theatrics: big, patient, building toward something before it detonates. It's the kind of ripper that rewards you for staying in the room. You can hear the ambition stretching further than anything on the first record, which already felt restless.
The new title says plenty about where their heads are at. Lore, myth, the stories we leave behind. Blue Bendy have always written like they're building a strange little world only they fully understand.
So Medieval was the intro. This feels like the deep dive. Press play on "Dragonslayer" now.
