Bodywash are back, and they've got a new record on the way. The Canadian dream-pop duo just announced Laughing At Noise, their next full-length after 2023's I Held The Shape While I Could. That album was a stunner. It proved these two could build cavernous, shoegaze-tinted soundscapes without losing the pop melody underneath, the same trick they pulled on their 2019 debut Comforter.
The rollout kicked off back in July with "Come And Go," a track that hinted at where their heads are at. Now they're sharing "Lapsang," and it's a gem. Shimmering guitars, hushed vocals, that signature haze they wear so well. It moves slow and then it swells, the kind of moment that rewards a good pair of headphones.
Bodywash have always understood texture, the way a song can feel like weather. "Lapsang" carries that forward with real confidence.
