Back in the early '00s, records like 2002's Songs About Leaving turned whispered heartbreak into something huge. Cuts like "You Should Be Red Yourself" hit like a slow bruise. This was a band who broke your heart with harmonies, then went home.
Now they're returning, and the timing feels right. Slowcore is having a moment, a new generation is finding this stuff, and the members went on to Grand Archives and Band Of Horses in the years between. That legacy runs deep.
