Cosmic Joke are back, and they're bringing another batch of SoCal-fried hardcore. The LA crew turn pop-punk into something snotty and fast, chasing the same melodic rush that Descendents and Adolescents perfected decades ago. We fell hard for their 2024 debut LP. Then came last year's guest-heavy covers EP for wildfire relief, a scrappy little gem that proved these guys have range and heart.
Now the big one: Suburban Decay lands in November. Twelve tracks of bratty singalongs, all built for jumping around a sweaty room. The first taste is "No Threat," out today, and it's a ripper. Under two minutes. Walking basslines that absolutely cook. A breakdown that still finds room for hooks, because these players never forget the melody underneath the fury.
It's angry. It's joyful. It's the kind of belter you'll want on loop before the album even drops.
Cosmic Joke know exactly what they are, and that confidence makes all the difference. Listen below.
