Crate Announce Self-Titled Debut Album

Crate are finally giving us a full album. The Brooklyn shoegazers have been working at their own pace, and that patience is about to pay off big. Here's the backstory.

Back in February 2024, Crate dropped their debut single "Julia," a blissed-out stunner that landed on our best shoegaze tracks of the year. Then came the wait. A whole year passed before "Necklace" arrived, along with a promise that more music was coming soon. That promise stretched longer than anyone expected, with 2025 closing out empty.

Now the band is back with new track "Not My Song (Mine To Keep)," and it comes attached to news of their self-titled debut LP. The record lands before 2026 wraps.

For a group that built real buzz off a single gem, this feels like the moment the story opens up. "Julia" showed the vision. This album shows the follow-through.

Crate took their time. The payoff sounds worth every month of waiting.
