Fontaines D.C. just dropped "Where Is Gone?," and it features Rosalía. That's a big deal. This is the first guest ever to land on a Fontaines record, and the fact that these two camps found each other feels like one of those moments you don't see coming but makes total sense once it lands.
The track arrives ahead of Friday's new album Dopamine Chamber, the next chapter after Romance pushed the Dublin crew way past the post-punk snarl of 2019's Dogrel. They've been building to this. From "Boys In The Better Land" to "Starburster," they keep reinventing what a Fontaines track can be, and roping in Rosalía is the boldest swing yet.
It also drops just days after her SNL spot, so the timing is loud on purpose. Two cool entities, one gem of a collab.
This is craft meeting ambition, and it's a killer sign of where Fontaines are headed. Hit play, then run it back.
