Jam City is back with another taste of his new record. Jack Latham, the UK producer behind the project, just dropped "2am," a collaboration with London singer-songwriter Gianna. It's a gorgeous sleeper.
The track lands ahead of My World, his album out later this month. We already caught the title cut, a gem featuring Aidan, Bawo and Ox Eye, and this one keeps the momentum rolling. Latham has been busy lately too, lending a hand on Logic1000's single "Jersey."
If you've followed him since Classical Curves back in 2012, you know Jam City can shift shapes at will, from that razor club sound to the softer, pop-leaning turn of Dream A Garden. "2am" sits somewhere in between: hushed, warm, built around Gianna's vocal like it was the whole point.
It's the kind of track that sneaks up on you at, well, 2am. Latham keeps proving he's one of the most restless minds in UK dance. My World can't come soon enough.
