Kali Malone is back with a new LP, and she's brought heavy company. Lead track "Heavy With Fruit" sets the tone. Malone has spent years bending time inside long tones, from the tape-loop patience of Living Torch to the vast cathedral hum of Does Spring Hide Its Joy. This one leans into that same suspended air, and O'Malley's low-end presence gives it a darker gravity.
Railton's cello threads through the drones, adding a human ache to Malone's architecture. It's a moment that feels both massive and intimate, the kind of collaboration that could only happen between players this patient.
