Radie Peat is stepping out on her own. The Lankum linchpin, whose voice anchored the slow-burning dread of 2019's The Livelong Day and the towering False Lankum, is finally making a solo record. It's called No Human Tongue Can Tell, and it's her debut under her own name.
The groundwork started back in July. That's when Peat dropped "Still I Love Him," a spare reworking of the old Irish folk tune that let her low, haunted delivery do all the heavy lifting. A stunner. Now she's back with "The Moon And Stars," the second taste of what this album holds.
