PISS are back with a new track, and it's a curveball. The Vancouver noise-rock crew just dropped "blocking a scene you can't remember," and it barely resembles the last thing they put out. That's the fun of this band. They refuse to sit still.
Here's a bit of Sub Pop trivia: the label roster now holds two urine-themed noise outfits, PISS and Philly's Pissed Jeans. Same home, wildly different sounds. Nobody's mixing these two up, and somebody really needs to book that Monsters Of Piss double bill immediately.
What makes this new gem land is the shape-shifting. PISS have never been a band you can pin down, and this track leans into that restlessness with a grin and a snarl. It's a ripper that rewards close listening.
The shift shows a group chasing ideas instead of a formula. That's momentum you can feel. Play it loud, then play it again, because this one keeps unfolding with every spin. A killer moment from a band worth watching.
