Prevention are finally dropping a full-length. The Springfield, Illinois crew announced their debut album, And Nothing's Mine, and the lead track "Tell Yourself" is a certified ripper.
These guys have been grinding since 2019, and they play fast, orthodox youth crew hardcore that never once feels like a costume. That's the thing with Prevention: they mean it. You hear it in every blown-out riff and gang vocal, the kind of straight-edge conviction that recalls the early bands they love without ever slipping into pure imitation.
"Tell Yourself" is a belter. Short, sharp, and furious, it moves like it has somewhere to be. The passion is the whole point, and it's what separates them from a hundred other bands chasing the same old-school sound.
A debut album is a moment for any band, and Prevention have the momentum to make it count. After years of earning it the hard way, they're ready.
Crank "Tell Yourself" loud and get hyped for And Nothing's Mine.
