Pushbike are back, and the Exeter trio just announced a new EP. It's called Little Bastard, out in a few weeks, and today they're teasing it with a track titled "Pure Hate." This is the kind of guitar-powered nostalgia bomb these three do so well.
The track opens like a ripper. Pure Dinosaur Jr. energy, all fuzz and forward motion, and then within two minutes it shifts into a gritty '90s emo belter. That turn is where the magic lives.
If you've followed these guys, you know they've always worn their alt-rock heart on their sleeve. This one leans harder into the crunch, and it pays off. There's a second track too, "Captain On The Bridge," so there's plenty to sink into before the full EP lands.
Pushbike keep building momentum, and Little Bastard feels like their most confident swing yet. The riffs hit, the hooks stick, the whole thing moves.
Crank it loud. This is a gem.
