Ryan Hemsworth is back, and he just signed to Topshelf Records. The producer who built his name on 2013's Guilt Trips and all those genre-hopping remixes is gearing up for a new album called Numbskull. Early returns were strong. Then he dropped the guest list.
"Never Learned" pulls in Tegan And Sara, a pairing that feels right for anyone who followed Hemsworth's pop-leaning turn on Alone For The First Time. It's a stunner. The track glides on his signature production, warm and crisp, with those unmistakable vocals riding on top.
And that's just one name. Numbskull also features MSPAINT and Illuminati Hotties, which tells you Hemsworth is still chasing collaborators across scenes, the way he always has. This is an artist who never stayed in one lane.
The new home at Topshelf suits him. The momentum is real, the guests are killer, and the record is shaping up as a moment worth watching.
File this one as a serious early contender.
