Shygirl is back with her second album, and it's called Swallow. Big news for anyone who's been riding with her since the club-warped chaos of Nymph in 2022, the record that landed on the Mercury Prize shortlist and turned her into one of Britain's most exciting new voices.
A lot has happened since then. She joined Charli XCX and Troye Sivan on the massive Sweat Tour, popped up on the Brat remix album, starred in Charli's The Moment and Madonna's Confessions II, and dropped a run of EPs to keep the momentum going. Her recent track "Alyse" opened the door on this new era.
Now she's kicking things properly with "Lucky (hymn)," a gem that shows off the same sharp edges that made "Cleo" and "Coochie (a bedtime story)" such killer moments.
