Snoh Aalegra is back. The Iranian Swedish singer just announced her first album in five years, Legendary Love, landing November 13 via Stem. The lead track, "I Love You," is a stunner. For it she pulled in two certified legends from opposite ends of the R&B world: Nile Rodgers on guitar and Raphael Saadiq on bass. Think about that lineup for a second.
This follows "Karma," her first new music in three years, and marks a genuine return after 2021's Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies. Aalegra co-wrote "I Love You" with Joel Compass and produced it alongside Compass and Josh Grant, leaning into the soul and nostalgia that shaped her from the start.
The record, she says, is about who love asks you to become. That longing, that romance: it runs through everything she does, going all the way back to those early EPs. Alfred Marroquín directed the video. Five years is a long wait. This one sounds worth it.
