THICK are back, and they are not easing in. The Brooklyn trio return with "Heavy Metal," their first new track in two years, and it hits with all the punk snarl we fell for back in 2018 when we first flagged them as ones to watch.
This one picks up where their 2024 singles "Mother" and "Father" left off. Those two were gems, raw and loud and funny, the kind of tracks that proved these three could write a hook as sharp as their harmonies. "Heavy Metal" keeps that momentum rolling.
It's a belter. The three-part vocals are still the engine here, the way they stacked them all over 5 Years Behind, and the guitars crunch harder than ever. There's craft in the chaos, a band that knows exactly what it's doing.
Two years is a long wait. THICK make it feel like no time passed at all.
Crank this one loud and let the trio remind you why they matter.
