Virga just dropped two new tracks, and both are stunners. The Lawrence, Kansas trio have been grinding since 2022, stacking up three EPs along the way, the most recent being this year's The Perfect Freedom Of Single Necessity. Now they're back with "Perception Management" and "Impassable Monolith II," a pair of rippers that hit hard.
You might have caught them already. Virga snagged the opening slot on the first leg of Chat Pile and Soul Glo's North American tour, a killer get for a band this early in its run. They've got two dates left on that run: tonight in Houston, tomorrow in Dallas, before Shallowater step in to finish things out.
These two new cuts build on everything that made their EP run so promising. Heavy, tense, smartly layered. The kind of noise that rewards repeat listens and a loud room.
If Virga weren't on your radar, fix that now. This is a band with real momentum, and these tracks are proof.
