The track channels Sea Change era Beck at his most beautifully disheveled, wrapping alt-country twang around soft rock warmth. There's a gambler's optimism buried in the weary vocals, the sound of someone pushing chips forward despite knowing the house always wins. It's a beautifully pleasant, wistful and enjoyable listen this one. And that groove in the second half? Stunning.
Large Teenz is the new vehicle for Samuel Huntington and Patrick Manian, co-founders of Mobile Steam Unit. Their influences span early aughts Beck, Kanye West, and vintage Simon & Garfunkel, resulting in a sound that interrogates American absurdity with mirth and irreverence. He has survived a devastating house fire and lost loved ones to cancer, and he has been open about his own mental health journey throughout his career. That willingness to be vulnerable has earned him recognition from People Magazine, Billboard, and Rolling Stone India. 'Worship' is the final single before his EP The People I Loved and Have Loved Me Back, a project that dedicates each song to someone who shaped who he is. Her vocal approach is layered and deliberate, building from intimate verses into a chorus that lands with real weight. I love the disco production here, and the 80s tinged synths are really talking my language. It's all with a lovely contemporary punch though, and Ameliah's vocal is the star of the show. Brilliant alternative pop, colourful and emotionally sharp.
Ameliah Jayne is an independent artist from Oxfordshire who handles her own path with clear vision. Her debut album Force of Nature arrived in early 2026, preceded by the single 'Mother Earth', and she followed it with 'River' in July as the first taste of a new project now rolling out. Her influences span MARINA, Aurora, Chappell Roan and Florence and the Machine, though the sound she builds from those touchstones is distinctly hers. BBC Introducing, iHeart Radio and Future Hits have all given her airtime. We're genuinely excited to follow where this next era takes her. A real banger.

It's the artwork that initially captures your attention; but it's the drift between jazz intimacy and contemporary soul that lands this. The standout ofc is the rich, smoky vocals carrying the whole thing forward. Lyrically it reads as a declaration of self-belief, the kind of song that knows its own worth and wants you to find yours. Cinematic without feeling overwrought, gentle without losing its spine. Gorgeous alt-pop soul, deeply assured and very, very radiant.
Princess Arinola Adegbite records under the name BITEZ and works out of Manchester, drawing on British Jamaican Nigerian heritage to build something that sits comfortably nowhere and everywhere at once. She cites Nina Simone, Sade, Erykah Badu and Andre 3000 as touchstones. Her music has aired on BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Sounds, Pie Radio and Reform Radio, and she has played Glastonbury, Manchester Jazz Festival and many more. Her sophomore EP Eat My Heart arrived in 2025, and this year she received an electronic music award from Help Musicians. We are genuinely thrilled to have her on BOPS, because this tune is so great.
