Spoony-B is a rapper out of South Philadelphia who first made noise with his 2017 EP 'Problematic'. His style sits somewhere between Slim Shady absurdism and gritty street rap, unpredictable and deliberately rough around the edges. He raps about Philly pride, failed relationships, personal setbacks, and bouncing back from all of it. The man has quit smoking seven times and survived four car accidents, and, well, I'm not really surprised. But that's all part of the charm, and we hope Spoony-B keeps releasing bangers like this. We are keeping a close eye on this one.

Jordan Rietto's 'NEW SPOT FREESTYLE' bottles the euphoria of a fresh start into an irresistible emo rap anthem, confident and gloriously alive.
Jordan Rietto sounds like a man who just unlocked a new level. 'NEW SPOT FREESTYLE' bounces on a production that channels those late night Atlanta energy bursts, all punchy drums and really, really infectious momentum. It's super catchy, and lyrically it explores that specific high of finally landing somewhere better after months of uncertainty, Rietto delivering bars about feeling untouchable with a grin you can practically hear. The flow is strong, production is incredible, all forward motion. But it's the hook that's the standout. Exhilarating emo rap, joyful and completely earned.
Rietto made the move from Upper Marlboro, Maryland to Atlanta to chase his music full time, a decision that came with its share of setbacks including losing work under difficult circumstances. Rather than folding, he channelled the turbulence into his art. This freestyle was written and recorded in his new apartment shortly after securing better employment, the title a literal nod to the space where everything started clicking into place. It arrives as a prelude to his forthcoming concept album 'Lustlight', and fans in Atlanta can catch him live at Skate Plug ATL on July 31st. We are properly excited to hear where this new chapter takes him.

The track focuses on a kinda brutal premise: the patterns we repeat until we face them, the coping mechanisms that feel like comfort until they become the problem. I love the concept, and there's real vulnerability in the vocal performance here. A rawness that lets the listener feel the exhaustion and the resolve sitting right next to each other. The production flies, the hook lands clean and stays with you. It's compelling alternative R&B, emotionally charged and sonically rich.
Tholly is a Lexington artist whose music has shifted steadily from pure rap toward melody-driven work over the past several years. His name carries weight: it came from his late friend and collaborator Trigga Man Mic, and every release continues something they started together. He records from a home studio he built in a space that once held painful memories, now transformed into somewhere he can turn his hardest moments into songs. 'Moonlit Habit' has already found radio play, and we're literally not surprised one bit. We are genuinely excited to see where he takes things from here.
