LUNA14 – Zero Gravity
LUNA14's 'Zero Gravity' is a defiant synth pop anthem from Berlin, a shimmering statement piece that cuts through the noise with real intent
LUNA14 opens 'Zero Gravity' with a pulse. Synths stretch out wide and airy, weightless, and the vocal floats right in the centre of it all. The track is a direct response to algorithm-chasing pop and AI-generated filler, and you can hear that frustration turned into something gorgeous here. There's a push and pull between the dreamy production and the sharper edges underneath, a tension that keeps the whole thing moving. And that chorus? It a really lovely moment, and extra points for the off-kilter coda. Brilliant synth pop, defiant and evocative.
LUNA14 is the work of Lunafacious and Gasher, both Berlin-based artists with their own solo projects running alongside this collaboration. Lunafacious works across music, painting, and nail art; Gasher stays close to the music. Together they've made something that feels purposeful, a track that knows exactly what it's pushing back against. We're really glad to have them on the blog, and we'll be keeping an eye on what comes next.
Trey Bruce – All Americans
Trey Bruce's 'All Americans' is a stunning, sparse indie pop meditation on division and decency, Nashville craft meeting hip hop restraint to deeply moving effect.
Fourteen years in the making, and you can hear every one of them. 'All Americans' strips everything back: acoustic guitars, bass, soft synths, immaculately produced drums, and Bruce's voice right up close, delivering snapshots of American life that feel uncomfortably familiar. The hip hop influence shows in the production choices, all that space letting each word breathe, while his daughter's backing vocals add a generational tenderness. Honestly, this one sounds like a dream; and carefully paints fear, mistrust, and the slow corrosion of hatred, but never preaches. It asks. It's really affecting alt-indie pop songwriting, timely and tender.
Trey Bruce has been writing songs in Nashville for over three decades, an Emmy winner and fifteen-time ASCAP Award recipient with ten number ones to his name. For years those songs went to other voices first. Now some are his to sing. The journey started with Meet the Beatles handed to him at five in Memphis, and Springsteen's Tunnel of Love became the reason he drove to Nashville with no backup plan. A great, important single.
Baby Brave – You're So Cool
Baby Brave's 'You're So Cool' is an absolute stunner ; a lovely collage of wonky, disco-tinged indie pop from Wrexham
Wrexham four-piece Baby Brave have landed on something special here. 'You're So Cool' opens with a nervy, echo-laden pulse before the guitars pile in, crunchy and urgent, and suddenly you're somewhere between a Manhattan no-wave club and a Welsh sticky-floored disco. Or something. The melody twists in unexpected directions, and there's a Talking Heads jitteriness to the whole thing that keeps you slightly off-balance in the best way. And that chorus? It's a fist-in-the-air moment. Inventive as fuck indie pop, bold and restless.
Baby Brave hail from Wrexham, North Wales, and they've been building serious momentum ahead of their debut album Sugar to the Tongue, out October 9th. Lead single 'Cherry Tomato' landed on the BBC Radio Wales A-List, picked up playlist spots from KEXP and Rough Trade, and earned a Radio X X-Posure 'Hot One' nod plus multiple spins on BBC 6 Music. Adam Walton called them 'brilliant', John Kennedy asked how he'd never heard of them. We're asking the same question. The video is the work of multimedia artist Echo The Hare, who came up with the concept and brought the whole thing together. This one's a blast, and the album should be essential.
Elias Dream – Goodbye, My Love
Elias Dream's 'Goodbye, My Love' is a warm, cinematic ballad that moves through grief like a short film, rap verses and soaring melodics building to a gut-punch of a goodbye
This one unfolds like a story you already know the ending to, and it still breaks you. 'Goodbye, My Love' tracks a man through the worst hours of his life, from hope to hospital to that final, impossible moment. The rap verses carry the narrative weight, measured and raw, while the melodic sections open up into something bigger, strings and keys swelling beneath. And that nostaglic Hammond part? I love that warm, churchy tone cuts right through the modern production, giving the whole thing a timeless ache. It's great cinematic pop, emotionally precise and impossible to shake.
Elias Dream is a storytelling-driven artist who treats songs like short films, building characters and turning points designed to pull you inside the narrative. The project blends rap, melodic vocals and rock influences with cinematic production, and that signature Hammond tone runs through everything, grounding the drama in something real. 'Goodbye, My Love' is out now as a single. A real gut-punch, this one.
