TAYE – Under Your Skin
TAYE's 'Under Your Skin' is a bold, fierce slice of Australian dance-pop, all sass and sharp edges, a proper banger.
TAYE comes out swinging on 'Under Your Skin'. The production is massive, pulsing bass and slick synth lines that demand movement, and there's a darkness running through the whole thing that gives it real edge. The vocal shifts between bratty confidence and something more menacing, different characters layered across the track, and it gives the whole thing a theatrical punch you don't always get in dance-pop. That hook? It lands hard and sticks, and the chords are so great. Brilliant dance-pop, bold and utterly infectious.
TAYE is a Melbourne artist building a name for confident, choreography-ready pop. Her EP 'Revenge In Writing' and singles 'Say My Name' and 'Take Her Dancing' established the sassy world she works in, and 'Under Your Skin' pushes into fiercer territory. She's performed at Taste of Summer and the Tasmanian Dance Expo, has her first headline show at The Workers Club this month, plus a New Year's Eve slot at Tasmania's Great Escape festival. Pretty cool, right? Definitely one to watch this October.
