Worn-in instruments and tape-hiss warmth open 'raven'. Lincoln Rajsky leans into abstraction here, writing lyrics vague enough to become anyone's story while remaining specific enough to ache. I love the acoustic groove here, great electric guitar work, and a whole lot of character rather than studio sheen. The intimacy is the standout here; closer to a late-night voice memo at times, and that feels like the point. 'You feel my love on this summer's eve' has a lovely quality. Gorgeous acoustic rock, nostalgic and sincere.
you exist & i love you is the solo vehicle of Philadelphia multi-instrumentalist Lincoln Rajsky, who handles every element of his music from writing through final mix. He recorded 'raven' using his cheapest gear and software over a decade old, treating constraint as a creative partner rather than an obstacle. His influences span from Panic at the Disco to Radiohead to the 1975, and that genre-hopping curiosity shows in how freely he moves between textures and moods. Working entirely from his bedroom, Rajsky represents the best of what DIY music-making can be: personal, inventive, and gloriously imperfect. Excited to see where this project goes next.
