Guitars, indie vibes and folk moments are taking centre stage this week, with four releases that give us big melodies and a healthy dose of emotion. Let’s get into our indie bops of the week ❤️🔥

Groovy Shirt Club – Believe
Groovy Shirt Club return with Believe, a confident guitar-led statement anchored in a lovely warmth and melodic conviction
Believe, opens with warm guitar textures and quickly expands into soaring melodies and rich, layered harmonies. The arrangement feels classic and crafted, built around live instrumentation and a crisp, driving rhythm section. And the chorus really pops.
Groovy Shirt Club use the track to signal a bolder, more guitar-focused direction. With themes of authenticity and holding your nerve in uncertain times, it sets the tone for a new chapter defined by clarity and classic songcraft. A really lovely tune.
Vincent J. Rigney – Tidal Wave Of Love
Vincent J. Rigney channels blues-inflected alt rock on Tidal Wave Of Love, driven by soul and steady momentum, to great effect
Tidal Wave Of Love, rides on expressive guitar lines and a firm backbeat, blending blues textures with alternative rock energy. The hook lands with clarity, giving the track both punch and warmth.
Vincent J. Rigney, a Northamptonshire-born singer-songwriter and producer, continues to broaden his reach beyond the UK. Framed as a deeply personal story, this release adds another confident step towards his forthcoming second album. This one’s a real head-nodder.
The Storm Windows – America 250 (GSHGOT)
The Storm Windows deliver a brilliant indie-folk cut shaped by harmony and a wonderful sense of heritage
America 2590 unfolds with upright bass, steady drums and close vocal harmonies that give it a lived-in, roots-driven feel. The production keeps things wonderfully direct, but also gives a panoramic feel to the work. It’s a really pleasing listen.
The Storm Windows, a trio built around brotherly interplay, frame the track as both celebration and reflection. Looking at America’s past, present and future, it blends resilience with realism, grounded in traditional instrumentation and unfussy delivery. Great stuff.
Wattmore – It’s Called Love…It’s Called The Blues
Wattmore combine grit and understated honesty on new folky- blues banger
It’s Called Love…It’s Called The Blues, is built on stunning guitars, an incredible sound world, a driving rhythm and vocals that sit close to the listener. There is no gloss or instrumentation decotration here, just measured pacing and a driven blues-tinged message that defintely lands.
Wattmore, working alongside Allan Caswell, draw from singer-songwriter and alt-country traditions without overplaying their hand. The result is a track that values patience and storytelling, letting its emotional weight build gradually. A brilliant track.
